Student Volunteer Opportunities
We have a Coordinator of Volunteers
at Memorial Lutheran Church. Lyle
Groth can help you figure out how you
might like to volunteer at church, and
then he can connect you with the right
people to make it happen.
College students can of course
volunteer to do anything in the church,
but here is a list of what others
generally do:
Sunday School Teacher or Aid
Vacation Bible School Teacher
Youth Leader
Lead a Bible Study for
international friends
Lead an English Class
Help in the Nursery on Sundays
or during the week
Lead a devotion for Wednesday
Night Student Fellowship
Participate in various College
Student service activities
Attend the Spring Break
Service Trip
Sit with an international friend or
children during worship
Usher during worship services
Join handbells, choir, or brass
Play or sing a piece for a
worship service
Coordinate a Bible Study for
college students

We like to support our volunteers! While
we definitely like to give you space to
develop your own style, we also don't
want to leave you hanging. Our
Coordinator of Volunteers,
Lyle Groth, will be happy to connect you
with the right people to make it possible.
Here are some examples of how we have
supported other volunteers:
Educators have helped students
develop their classroom
approach for Sunday School
Our International Ministry
Coordinator pairs students
with an international who has
things in common with the student
We provide curriculum for Sunday
School and English Classes
Fundraisers help fund the Spring

We can publicize Bible Studies on
our weekly calendar
