Women of Memorial
Fellowship & Service
All women are welcome to participate
and volunteer under the name "Women
of Memorial." Organizational
meetings-fitted with fellowship,
laughter, devotion and prayer-usually
occur on the third Monday of the
month. Check the weekly calendar for
an up-to-date schedule. If you cannot
make the meetings, there are plenty of
other ways to be involved in the
fellowship and service activities of the
Women of Memorial. Check it out...
"An evening with..."
On occasion, the Women of Memorial
will host a speaker for everyone to
come and enjoy. The presenters
witness about the peculiarities and
blessings of living a Christian life-from
parenting to competitive sports,
academia to professionalism and
corporate America. Keep your eye on
the Messenger Newsletter or weekly
announcements section for details.
Every second and fourth Thursday of
the month, women of varying levels of
experience and skill meet to sew quilts
which are given to international
families in the cold months. We meet
downstairs in the North Gold Room
Join Sally Hartman and Norma Buss.

Quilting
Most of the organization and
brainstorming happens at
monthly meetings. We also
enjoy Christian fellowship and
laughter, devotion and prayer.
It is a great opportunity to
pause and relate to each other
about Christian life as women.
Join us if you are able!
We know that God
is an ever-present
help in trouble.
The prayer shawls
stitched together
by the hands of the
women who participate in the prayer
shawl ministry serve as the arms of
God to embrace those who have felt
the earth give way and mountains fall.
The shawls help those who need
comfort to be still and know that I am
God.
The women of the Prayer Shawl
Ministry meet the fourth Monday of the
month at 7 PM. Yarn, needles,
patterns, and help are provided.

Ministry
Psalm 46 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations He has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear, He burns the shields with fire.
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it
on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way,
let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds
and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16
Attention Women of Memorial: The next planning meeting will be March 15 at
7 p.m. in the MLC Student Center.
